MY LEGAL JOURNEY

It was an exciting Saturday, as ‘gentlemen on skirt’ of the Nigerian Law School Agbani trooped out in their numbers, as they converged in the maiden edition of CLASFON Ladies Monthly Meeting. A meeting that is targeted at inspiring these young ladies to greatness. The meeting was packaged by Afolabi Olabisi; the Vice president of the fellowship and her team members. Two of our female lecturers graced the event, Mrs. Nnenna Madu (Chief Magistrate Enugu State Judiciary) and Mrs. Chinwe Umadia PhD. These two erudite lecturers shared their personal experiences and challenges faced, in their career journey. The following are some of the highlights of the event...

For the Purpose of Externship

‘God forbid! I can never be defiled by that Dinner’ I said. ‘I propose in my heart like Daniel not to eat that king’s meal.’ ‘You must eat the compulsory meal,’ a voice sharply responded from within. ‘No’ i said. ‘That day is special to me, it’s my day alone with God every month and I don’t eat till the next day. See, nothing can come between me and God.’  ‘Hmm’ the voice said. ‘You better postpone it except you don’t want to be called to the Nigerian Bar.’

For The Purpose of Externship

Hello family, we hope your court attachment has been moving on smoothly? Pursuant to our earlier arrangement as per externship groupings, the academic committee of CLASFON & WCF have come up with a list of law school students who registered their names before we left Enugu. The externship grouping is to bring people in the same location together to rub minds and perform certain tasks that would help prepare each individual for bar finals. As we all know that it is a fact devoid of fallacy that reading during externship can be quite difficult, the group meetings will attempt to keep each person on his/her toes. In furtherance of this, each group would be led by a leader already highlighted in the list uploaded. The job of the group leader is to conduct group meetings, regroup if necessary and revert back to the supervisors indicated in the list. Regrouping might become necessary in locations with courts and chambers which are located in very distant places and would occasion hardsh

Lets Save the Future

I have been persuaded for some time now, to write on this. I strongly believe someone out there needs to hear this. One thing about being successful in warfare is adopting the right strategy; that a strategy brought success yesterday is not a guarantee that it will bring success today. Modifications are necessary to meet contemporary challenges. It is no longer news, that there is a serious battle, going on between light and darkness. Though we wrestle not against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12), our authority in Christ suffices to give us victory. Unfortunately the church is distracted: worldliness has crept in; and young people are the worst hit.
