CLASFON LADIES TIME-OUT

The CLASFON LADIES TIME-OUT on Sat. 25th February was a very successful one
Mrs Ojeh (wife of one of our lecturers) was there to speak to the ladies. She spoke on the topic ‘escape for your life’. Taken her text from Genesis 19:1-3, 15-17& 27) from where she basically urge the ladies to flee from things of the world & sin, but to run to Christ because the world would be judge by God.
Other subjects of discussion where
TIME MANAGEMENT: Anchored by Miss Elohor
Considering John 9:4 & Ecclesiastics 3 the following were made known to the ladies.
·         There is time to work  & time for every thing
·         We should be orderly in the way we conduct our affairs especially by been punctual in what we do; Since God is a God of order.
·          The day symbolizes the time we have to work; on the other hand night symbolizes the limit. The night is not a good time to work. It may leave one stumbling, it is better to work while it is day, well managed time, produces gain.
·          Plan your schedule and apply yourself to discipline, be organized, and eliminate unimportant things. Try review your day, at the end of every day

DRESS (Fashion & Appearance) by Miss Sarah Solomon.
·         Always dress decently. It is important we understand that, what may appears to one as appropriate may appear to another as inappropriate. It is therefore necessary to consider your environment, when you dress.
·         As a lady be decent, clean and look nice when you dress up.
·         Godly dressing is when you are comfortable enough to preach the gospel conveniently in what you’re wearing .Dress the way you want to be addressed.
·         There is need for one to have the right information on what the bible says about dressing. Be modest in your appearance (dressing)(Timothy 2:9)

CONFIDENCE & GOSSIP by Miss Ife Ishola
·         We need to discipline ourselves to in order for our thoughts to align to Christ.
·         A breach of confidence amounts to breach of trust, accountability and friendship
·         As  ladies , and future  mothers , we have access to a lot of secrets and confidential information
·         We should control our tongue and ourselves as believers , by controlling our tongue, our whole life will be in check
·         Let the fruit of the holy spirit have perfect expression in our lives
·         Gossip is filthy talk- (Ephesians 4:29) let what proceeds out of our mouth be words of edification.
·         If you must gossip, gossip with God. Don’t pull down another person build them up.

MINISTRY Anchored by Miss BOLA ABIOLA
·         Ministry is what which God has called us to do in furtherance of His Kingdom “Ministry” basically mean “service” (2Cor.5:17-21).Ministry came because of Christ and we have the ministry of reconciliation ( Ephesians 2:8-10 & Romans 1:14-17.)
·         We have been called by God unto good works. We have been given the ministry of reconciliation. We have been called to preach the gospel. The local church is the best place for us to actually exercise ministry. (Romans 12:1)  Use the gifts you have receive of the spirit to the fullest to promote the kingdom of God (Ephesians 4:11-13)
·          We are ministers to the body of Christ and the world; therefore we should give ourselves to the labour of love in the word and prayer. Hence, don’t allow yourself to be half-baked believer. Know that when you begin with Christ you can never go astray.

FEMINISIM: Anchored by Miss Abimbola Adekoya
·         God created us equal. We are equal in Christ both male and female.
“There is neither Jew nor Gentile nor male or female in Christ” Christ is one in us (Gen 3:28)
·         Although we are equal in Christ we are structured differently, and therefore have difference roles from the men. Ladies are structured differently from men.
·         Appreciate your role as a woman “I am proud to be a woman” miss Abimbola said.

The program ended with a wonderful address by Miss Afolabi Bisi (CLASFON Vice President)
The next meeting will be on the 25th of March 2017
LADIES SHOULD TAKE NOTE

Lets Save the Future

I have been persuaded for some time now, to write on this. I strongly believe someone out there needs to hear this. One thing about being successful in warfare is adopting the right strategy; that a strategy brought success yesterday is not a guarantee that it will bring success today. Modifications are necessary to meet contemporary challenges. It is no longer news, that there is a serious battle, going on between light and darkness. Though we wrestle not against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12), our authority in Christ suffices to give us victory. Unfortunately the church is distracted: worldliness has crept in; and young people are the worst hit.
